What is Depth Hypnosis?

Depth Hypnosis is a spiritual counseling method developed by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. It weaves together transpersonal psychology, hypnosis, Buddhist Psychology, Applied Shamanism, and energy medicine.

Depth Hypnosis uses a lightly altered state of awareness to help you explore your inner world, gain insight, and unlock your own inner healing potential. It helps you connect to guidance or wisdom, whatever that means to you, and also helps you discover parts of yourself that need healing.

Depth Hypnosis is unique in the inherent transpersonal, or spiritual, component that it brings to healing. Embedded in the approach is the idea that, as Teilhard De Chardin once said, "we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience."

Depth Hypnosis offers clinically substantial outcomes as well. In one study, Depth Hypnosis was shown to highly significantly decrease symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and increase quality of life. Many people continue Depth Hypnosis sessions even after their symptoms have resolved because it brings life-enhancing meaning and personal insight.

Benefits of Depth Hypnosis

What Sessions Are Like

One of the things that makes Depth Hypnosis unique is that it goes much deeper than talk-based methods can. It uses an altered state of awareness that is similar to a dream state to explore your subconscious mind.

In an altered state, you will feel relaxed and deeply in tune with your inner world, including feelings, sensations, visuals, and memories.

From here, I will lead you through a guided process to help you get to know and heal various dimensions of yourself. We will explore your inner world in a way that goes deep into your subconscious mind for deep self-discovery, access to inner wisdom, profound insights, and healing.

Some people express hesitation about hypnosis initially because they are afraid of "losing control," "having someone else in control of their mind," or "not remembering anything that happened."

You can rest assured that you will retain total control, you will be able to speak, give feedback, and move freely, and you will most likely be able to remember everything that happens. Rather than being a "scary experience," most people find Depth Hypnosis to be quite peaceful and something they truly enjoy.
